Sizing Guidelines for Mens Lederhosen
We want to let you know that our premium Lederhosen and Bundhosen have limited stretch compared to fabrics like jeans or cotton trousers. Additionally, please keep in mind that the sizing may vary depending on how you plan to wear and tuck in your Lederhosen/Bundhosen.
At Dirndl Online Shop, our collection showcases the genuine essence of German design, featuring premium cow leather crafted with utmost care. Just like any authentic leather piece, your Lederhosen needs some time to conform and adjust to your unique body shape and size. To help you find the perfect fit, we have provided some helpful guidelines below.
Please keep in mind that Lederhosen and Bundhosen naturally loosen up approximately 0.5 to 1 inch after being worn 2-3 times. It’s important to allow the leather to mold comfortably before Oktoberfest. If you’re uncertain about your exact Lederhosen size, we recommend choosing a slightly larger size. For accurate measurements, please ensure you measure around your waist. Additionally, please note that international sizes for leather clothing may vary from standard US/UK sizes.
Waist Sizing: To determine your waist size, use a tape measure and wrap it around your waist while keeping it snug against your body. Avoid applying excessive pressure to your skin. Position the tape measure at the level where you typically wear your pants, slightly above the hip bone.
Inseam Sizing: Measure the distance from the crotch area down to the knee, following a straight line. If you’re measuring for bundhosen, measure down to the ankle instead of the knee.
Seat/Hip Measurement: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, making sure the tape remains parallel to the ground without shifting its position.
Thigh Measurement: Similar to the seat measurement, measure the circumference of the fullest part of one thigh, rather than both thighs combined. This measurement corresponds to the size of a single thigh.

Sizing Guidelines for Authentic Dirndl
As you browse through our collection, we want to provide you with some friendly advice to ensure the best fit for our dresses. Our current designs are tailored to fit bodies similar to those of our models in the pictures. If you have a larger bust measurement, we recommend going up a size or even two sizes. This will give you more room and allow for minor adjustments to the waist if needed. Please keep in mind that international sizes for leather clothing may vary from standard US/UK sizes.
Before finalizing your purchase, please take a moment to review our size measurement suggestions below:
Waist: Place the measuring tape around the narrowest part of your natural waist, which is usually slightly above the belly button and below the rib cage.
Chest: When measuring your chest, make sure the tape is held horizontally or parallel to the ground. Measure around the fullest part of your chest without applying excessive pressure to the tape, aiming for the most accurate results.
Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips, ensuring that both legs are close together. It’s helpful to measure in front of a mirror to keep the tape as horizontal as possible.
By following these measurement guidelines, you’ll be able to make an informed decision and select the perfect option for you. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We’re here to assist you with any concerns you may have.
